Originally from Murphy, NC, Walt moved east to pursue a degree in Mathematics from Elon University, and he started his career teaching high school in Greensboro, NC in 2010. After returning to Elon to achieve his MBA, he transitioned to a medical staffing role before beginning his financial services career with MassMutual Carolinas in 2018. During his tenure at MassMutual, Walt worked with an organization called The College Funding Coach, with a financial planning focus on college and retirement readiness.

Walt’s intention is that every client he works with feels more secure and confident from the work they do together. His goal is to help each client achieve their own version of financial success and well-being through personalized counseling, education, and advice. Walt is Series 7 and 66 registered with LPL Financial and licensed for life, health, and long-term care insurance.

Walt currently lives in Greensboro with his wife, Caroline. They recently welcomed their daughter, Laine, in August 2021. He has served on the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Elon Triad Alumni Board and synerG Young Professionals Council. Outside of his professional life, Walt loves to spend time with family and friends, explore local NC restaurants, play golf, and watch sports – especially Carolina Panthers Football and Duke Basketball.
